Verts launched on the Disney+ mobile app in the U.S. this week, giving subscribers a vertical video feed to browse and discover content from the platform’s catalog. The feature went live on March 12, 2026, as the first phase of Disney’s push to bring vertical video to Disney+

What Is Verts on Disney+? Verts is a scrollable vertical video feed accessible through a new icon in the Disney+ mobile app navigation bar. Users tap into a stream of scenes and moments pulled from Disney+ titles, then swipe through them to find something to watch. From the feed, they can add a title to their Watchlist or jump directly into playback.

Disney first announced the feature at its 2026 Global Tech & Data Showcase. The company describes it as a new way for fans to connect with a catalog that spans more than 100 years of content.

Where is Verts available? Verts is currently live for U.S. Disney+ subscribers on mobile only. No timeline has been announced for other regions or platforms. The feature was previously launched on ESPN in August 2025, where Disney says it drove additional engagement before the Disney+ rollout.

How the Feed Works. The recommendation engine behind Verts uses an algorithm designed to personalize results for each user. Rather than showing a generic content stream, the feed pulls from Disney’s library based on individual preferences. Disney has been making other moves to improve how fans navigate its streaming content, including the launch of the Explore Disney site, a dedicated guide to help subscribers find what to watch on Disney+.

What Comes Next for Verts. Disney has described this launch as the start of a longer development arc. Current functionality focuses on content discovery. Plans include adding creator content tied to Disney fandoms, new storytelling formats, and more personalized experience types. No specific dates have been announced for those additions.
