Just moments ago, Alison Sweeney, along with co-stars Barbara Niven & Victor Webster, made a big announcement for The Hannah Swensen Mysteries! Besides the newest movie, ‘Sugar & Vice’ premiering this Saturday on Hallmark Channel, the cast and crew just wrapped filming a second movie coming to Hallmark in 2026! Alison Sweeney just shared some major news for fans of Lake Eden. Standing alongside co-stars Barbara Niven and Victor Webster, she announced that the Hannah Swensen Mysteries team has even more in store than originally expected.
The 13th installment of the series, Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, premieres this Saturday, March 7th, at 8/7c on the Hallmark Channel. This latest story follows Hannah as she attends the grand re-opening of the Lake Eden Inn. The celebration takes a dark turn when she discovers a body. A sudden storm traps all the guests inside the building. Hannah has to identify the killer before the roads clear and the culprit can slip away.
This busy schedule follows another recent milestone for Sweeney. Her movie Romance at Hope Ranch aired last Saturday. That project was particularly special for the actress because it featured her daughter, Megan Sanov, as her co-star. Check out our review of Romance at Hope Ranch! FYI, there is a Hannah Swensen Easter Egg in the movie.
The surprises did not stop with this weekend’s premiere. Sweeney and her castmates confirmed they just finished filming another Hannah Swensen movie. This second upcoming mystery is scheduled to arrive on the Hallmark Channel in 2026. This means viewers can look forward to at least two new chapters in the long-running series.
