Mickey & Friends to Host New ‘Greeting Committee’ at Magic Kingdom This Summer. Disney fans heading to Walt Disney World this summer have a new way to start their day with the Greeting Committee. Starting May 26, 2026, the Cool Kids Summer event brings the character experience back to the front of the park. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto will gather in Town Square and around the castle hub to welcome visitors. The Characters will be in ‘New Summer Outfits.’
Cool Kids Summer starts May 26, 2026, and guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort can enjoy Early Park Entry to the Magic Kingdom. Disney is calling this a “greeting committee.” We are still working on the answer to the question, is this in addition to the Disney characters roaming in Fantasyland, which was special for early park entry during cool kids summer 2025? Guests may remember all the roaming characters in 2025 in Fantasyland: Mickey Mouse, Chip & Dale, Pluto, Elena, Princess Tiana & Prince Naveen, Tigger, Rapunzel & Flynn, and more.

Toy Story Pals at Diamond Horseshoe with Jessie’s Roundup: Just for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, pals from Toy Story are ready for a rootin’ tootin’ good time at the Diamond Horseshoe at Magic Kingdom. Join Jessie, Woody, and friends for some energetic fun at Jessie’s Roundup, where you’ll craft, dance, and yodel your hearts out in this western revue. This is a perfect tie-in between Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin opening and the Hollywood Studios restaurant Woody’s Roundup.

We are double-checking now with our Travel Partner about the three other parks! We are hearing that Epcot will have Figment and Joy wandering around Spaceship Earth. While at DAK DeVine, Kevin, and sometimes Meeko will be out in the Oasis. And finally, this is the word we have right now and could be special, at Hollywood Studios, Powerline Max, Chip & Dale, and The Star Wars Citizens will be out at Grand Avenue & Sunset (we have not confirmed this one yet, and will update asap)
