This morning, the Walt Disney World website officially updated the ride description and added context for the upcoming update to the attraction inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Fly the Millennium Falcon on a thrilling interactive smuggling adventure—including a new mission with the Mandalorian and Grogu, beginning May 22, 2026!
The big change and new information is that the Engineer position will interact with Grogu. This all takes place on the day the new Star Wars movie “The Mandalorian and Grogu” hits theaters. Imagineering revealed that this update is a major technical step forward, designed to make the experience feel “100% authentic to the film.” This technical partnership (with Epic Games, NVIDIA, and others) is helping Imagineering push the limits of what a theme park character can be, promising more expressive and lifelike experiences for all guests.
