The PepsiCo-owned brand is rolling out exclusive packaging, a collectible rewards program, and a sweepstakes with a trip to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center as the grand prize, all timed to build fan excitement before the film opens.

Three New Flavors Built Around the Film’s Space Theme

The new bubly Super Mario Galaxy Movie lineup adds three flavors to the brand’s permanent roster for a limited run:

  • Meteor Melon watermelon lime
  • Cosmic Swirl vanilla berry
  • Dragonfruit Stardust pineapple dragonfruit

Each flavor comes in cans featuring color-changing Lumas that appear when the cans are chilled. The effect is a direct nod to the star creatures central to the film’s storyline.

Alongside the new flavors, five of bubly’s best-selling varieties are getting limited-edition packaging upgrades. Lime, Blackberry, Cherry, Grapefruit, and Strawberry will appear in specialty multipacks featuring Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Toad, and Bowser Jr.

The bubly Galactic Mission: What Fans Can Win

bubly is running a multi-part promotion called the Galactic Mission that runs through May 8, 2026.

Hidden Galaxy Cans featuring Rosalina: Tucked inside select movie-themed 8-packs nationwide are 50 special bubly Galaxy Cans, the only cans in the entire run to feature Rosalina. Finding one unlocks a unique code worth 6,375 Star Bits. It enters the winner for the Galaxy Getaway Grand Prize: an all-expenses-paid trip for two to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, Florida.

Star Bits rewards on every can: Every film-themed bubly can has a scannable feature that dispenses a random number of Star Bits, anywhere from 1 to 5,000 per scan. Fans bank those Star Bits and redeem them for complimentary movie tickets and exclusive limited-edition merchandise. The redemption window closes May 8, 2026.

Theater entries: Fans who watch the film at select Regal and Marcus Theatres locations get an additional shot at the Galaxy Getaway Grand Prize by entering the on-site promotion before April 16, 2026.

No purchase is necessary to enter. Full rules are at bubly.com/galacticmission. The sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents 18 and older (19+ in Alabama and Nebraska).

Why bubly Is Betting Big on Super Mario

“Super Mario is one of the most timeless and beloved franchises in entertainment, inspiring a sense of adventure and exploration for fans of every generation,” said Michael Smith, VP of Marketing for bubly Sparkling Water. The brand is positioning itself as part of the lead-up experience rather than a standard co-branded product — tying the collectible mechanic, the giveaway, and the theater promotion into a single fan journey that starts at the grocery shelf.

The Super Mario IP has proven commercial pull in CPG partnerships since the 2023 film generated over $1.3 billion at the global box office. bubly’s activation follows a playbook of interactive, scan-to-win mechanics that have driven engagement for beverage brands across franchise tie-ins.
