The Revenant Returns to IMAX for 10th Anniversary. The Revenant is heading back to the big screen this February. 20th Century Studios and New Regency announced that the Oscar-winning film will play in select IMAX theaters for two days only: February 26 and March 1.
This limited release marks 10 years since the movie first wowed audiences with its brutal survival story. If you missed it the first time, this is your chance to see Leonardo DiCaprio’s famous bear-attack scene and the beautiful landscapes on a massive screen.
The re-release isn’t just happening in the U.S. either. It’s also hitting theaters in the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico.
The timing is pretty perfect. Leonardo DiCaprio is currently back in the awards conversation for his role in “One Battle After Another.” He just picked up another Best Actor nomination for that film, making this a great time to look back at the movie that finally won him his first Oscar.
Back in 2015, The Revenant was a massive hit. It earned over $532 million and won three Academy Awards for:
- Best Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio
- Best Director: Alejandro G. Iñárritu
- Best Cinematography: Emmanuel Lubezki
The Making of The Revenant, a book created by Insight Editions in partnership with New Regency, is available exclusively in a limited run of 500 numbered copies signed by director Alejandro G. Iñárritu, actor Leonardo DiCaprio, and cinematographer Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki, commemorating the Academy Award®–winning film’s 10th anniversary.
Numbers 1–150 comprise a Signed Print Edition (Available for preorder now) that includes an exclusive 16″ x 20″ giclée print on archival paper, signed by DiCaprio.
