‘Pretty in Pink’ Returns to Theaters for 40th Anniversary This Valentine’s Day. If you grew up in the 80s or just love a good John Hughes movie, you’ll have a chance to see Pretty in Pink back on the big screen next month. Paramount and Fathom Entertainment are bringing the classic back to theaters from February 13th to 16th, 2026, to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

The movie follows Andie (Molly Ringwald), a high school student from the “wrong side of the tracks,” as she navigates a romance with the wealthy Blane (Andrew McCarthy) and deals with the social pressures of prom. It’s the film that gave us Duckie, incredible 80s fashion, and a soundtrack that still stands the test of time.

The version playing in theaters is newly remastered in 4K, so it should look better than it ever did on VHS. There are also a few extras for fans, like the screening includes a “Filmmaker Focus” featurette where director Howard Deutch talks about making the movie and why people still care about it four decades later. You’ll see young James Spader, Jon Cryer, Annie Potts, and the late Harry Dean Stanton alongside Ringwald and McCarthy.

Tickets are available now through the Fathom Entertainment website or at local box offices. Since these anniversary screenings are usually limited to specific times and locations, it’s worth checking your local theater’s schedule sooner rather than later.
