Disney Confirms Live-Action ‘Tangled’ Starring Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim. The pair will play princess Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, the thief who helps her escape the tower she’s stuck in, roles portrayed in the original film by Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi. No word on whether Scarlett Johansson is still up for the role of Mother Gothel. It looks like Michael Gracey had been set to direct the film from a script draft by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson
From Disney Studios’ Social media, “Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim are Rapunzel and Flynn Rider in the live-action reimagining of Disney’s Tangled. Coming only to theaters.” This is the first official announcement about the upcoming Walt Disney Studios Live-Action Tangled movie.
Fans of Dancing with the Stars on ABC and the Zombies movie may be familiar with Milo Manheim. He has played Zed in the Zombies franchise. Teagan Croft recently played Raven in the Titans show on DC Streaming, which later became HBOMax.
Tangled was originally released by Walt Disney Animation Studios on November 24, 2010
When the kingdom’s most wanted-and most charming-bandit, Flynn Rider (Zachary Levi), hides out in a mysterious tower, he’s taken hostage by Rapunzel (Mandy Moore), a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn’s curious captor, who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief, and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse (Maximus), an over-protective chameleon (Pascal), and a gruff gang of pub thugs.
