Sprinkles Cupcakes to Close All Stores Including Disney Springs Location 1/1/26. With less than 1 day’s notice to employees, Sprinkles Cupcakes has laid off all store staff and will be closing all the locations across the US tomorrow, 1/1/26. Employees are starting to post that they just received notice of the closures. Sprinkles Cupcakes is owned by KarpReilly LLC, which happens to own another Disney Springs eatery, Salt & Straw.
If you try and go to In-Bakery or the Delivery service, there are no times available after today. Times are still listed on the Disney Springs Sprinkles Cupcake website. We will see if this changes throughout the day as this news spreads.
Employees have taken to the official Sprinkles social media to voice their displeasure. With one poster saying: “GAVE ALL EMPLOYEES COMPANY-WIDE 1 DAY NOTICE THAT THEY NO LONGER HAVE JOBS! Sprinkles is closing all locations on 12/31. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!” This was followed by many others with a similar sentiment: “Thanks for the one-day notice of unemployment and no severance!”
Sprinkles is known for their over-sugared cupcakes, and even the less-than-stellar invention of the Cupcake ATM machine that never worked and was just basically a vending machine for cupcakes, where you would use a screen to order, then an employee would put the cupcake into the outdoor window for you to pick up.
No word on why the sudden closures occurred or why they would not let employees know in advance. I am sure someone knew in their corporate offices. Sprinkles has three total stores located in Florida.
Order ahead for an upcoming celebration or grab treats today with pickup and delivery options available.
