‘Malcolm in the Middle’ Is Finally Coming Back This April. The rumors are true. After years of talk, the Wilkersons are returning to TV. Hulu announced today that a new limited series, “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair,” will premiere on April 10, 2026. The show will stream on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S., with an international release on Disney+.

The revival is a four-episode event. It has up over a decade since we last saw the family. According to the synopsis, Malcolm has spent the last several years trying to keep his daughter away from his chaotic relatives. But that streak ends when Hal and Lois force him to come home for their 40th wedding anniversary.

Most of the original faces are returning, but there is one notable change. Bryan Cranston (Hal), Frankie Muniz (Malcolm), Jane Kaczmarek (Lois), Christopher Kennedy Masterson (Francis), and Justin Berfield (Reese) are all confirmed. Emy Coligado is also back as Piama. Keeley Karsten plays Malcolm’s daughter, Leah. We’ll also meet a new sibling, Kelly, played by Vaughan Murrae. Caleb Ellsworth-Clark will be taking over the role of Dewey.

Fans of the original show’s look and feel should be happy. Linwood Boomer, who created the show, is back as a writer and executive producer. Bryan Cranston is also producing. All four episodes will be directed by Ken Kwapis, who handled many of the show’s biggest moments during its initial run.

Hulu released a short teaser today, giving a first look at the older cast. If you want to catch up before April, all 151 original episodes are currently streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
