Frozen Ever After Ride Closing January 26th for ‘Character Upgrade’. Frozen Ever After will temporarily close for refurbishment on January 26, 2026, and reopen in February 2026 with updates to Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics figures. Disney World has made the announcement official.
There is no word on when Frozen Ever After will reopen to guests visiting Epcot. According to the newly released Walt Disney World 2026 calendar, we do know it will be finished in early 2026, well before Spring.
Disney will refresh the main character Audio-Animatronics figures at the Frozen Ever After attraction in EPCOT’s Norway pavilion. The updates will affect the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff figures.
The EPCOT ride, Frozen Ever After, opened in 2016, features all-electric Audio-Animatronics, a technology Disney has since expanded to attractions like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The upcoming investment aims to give the characters a more movie-accurate appearance.
The upgraded figures will debut early next year.
