When and Where is the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Walt Disney World? The 2025 Walt Disney World holiday season will officially begin with the Disney Springs Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
The event is the resort’s official public kickoff for the holidays, even though at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, the Holiday parties have begun. The ceremony is scheduled to start around 6:00 p.m. EST. It will feature the Walt Disney World Ambassadors, music, and performances, concluding with the lighting of the main tree.
Get to Disney Springs early if you want to meet Santa Claus, his first day of meeting families starts at 10 a.m. on November 13th, along with the beginning of the Christmas Tree Stroll. You and the family can also spend some time at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar for a holiday warm-up with food and drinks, and check out all the holiday decor.
Ceremony Location: The Tree Lighting will take place in the Town Center section of Disney Springs, near the resort bus drop-off/pick-up area between the Orange and Lime parking garages.
