Why Do We Celebrate Zoogether Day at Disney’s Zootopia Better Zoogether? Cast Members, Travel Agents, Media, Friends & Family are all getting a preview of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s newest attraction, Zootopia Better Zoogether. The show, which is shown in Carrot Vision 3D in the Tree of Life Theater, officially opens on November 7th, 2025.

The time has come for citizens from every biome in Zootopia to come together for fur-ocious fun in honor of Zoogether Day! From special performances across Zootopia to an epic musical finale, come ready to leap, laugh, and let loose. It’s the perfect way for your pack, pride, or herd to celebrate how we are all better zoogether.‘
But what is Zoogether Day, and why do the animals of Zootopia celebrate the holiday?
The story is told with attraction posters leading into the theater. This holiday celebrates Zootopia’s evolution from a world divided into predators and prey to one where all species live in harmony under the motto “Anyone Can Be Anything!”. This is a nod to the show Zootopia Better Zoogether, which replaced “It’s Tough to be a Bug” from Pixar’s A Bug’s Life. In the older queue, there were movie posters featuring the Bugs as the stars.
ZOOGETHER DAY: Thousands of years ago, natural forces ruled our world. The world was divided in two: vicious predators and meek prey.
But over time, we evolved and moved beyond our ancient, wild ways. Our ancestors joined together in harmony and declared that, “Anyone Can Be Anything!”
On Zoogether Day, we unite to celebrate the special connection shared among all living things.
A paw pact: the first zoogether day on loan from the Zootopia Natural History Museum.
Early mammals formed this sphere composed of soils from each biome in the spirit of unity, peace, and pawsperity. The earthen orb is traditionally rolled from district to district ahead of each zoogether day, growing in both meaning and magnitude with each ball movement. This monumental relic symbolizes the enduring responsibility of all species to preserve the delicate harmony of Zootopia, a shared commitment of the highest order.

Walt Disney Imagineering did a good job with the space they had to work with. As a guest, you are entering the roots of the giant Tree of Life; the walls are not flat, and it is not easy for them to hang posters and theming elements on the walls. But, they can tell you the whole backstory of Zootopia Better Zoogether in a simple, but fascinating way.
The small details are what we have all come to respect from the Imagineering team. Zootopia Better Zoogether has a lot of easter eggs, theming details, and the ‘small things’ located throughout the queue. The buttons hanging the swag, or the lighting fixtures, are reminiscent of Disney’s Animal Kingdom lights.
