The End is Near! More Closing Dates Announced for October at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks in Dinoland USA will be closing permanently on October 20th, 2025, to make way for Tropical Americas. While Harambe Market in Africa will also be closing, it will reopen sometime in early 2026. When it does reopen, it will not be serving African-inspired fare; instead, you can look forward to more Hamburgers and Chicken Tendies!
Below are the announcements made on the Walt Disney World websites:
- Harambe Market – Harambe Market will temporarily close for refurbishment on October 20 and is expected to reopen in early 2026.
- Trilo-Bites will close permanently on October 20 to make way for Tropical Americas.
- Dino-Bite Snacks will close permanently on October 20 to make way for Tropical Americas.
This is all part of the Dinoland USA transformation to Tropical Americas that will bring a new Encanto Casa Madrigal Attraction, Disney Animal Carousel, and an Indiana Jones retheme of Dinosaur. Dinosaur and Restaurantasaurus will be closing on Feb 2, 2026.
Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bites will never reopen; some of the snacks they sold will become available at different locations around the park. Buffalo Chicken Chips will not be going away! Which, to be very honest, is the only snack people cared about anyway, since it was the only exclusive snack available at those snack locations.

Harambe Market – Constructed around an old colonial-era train depot and lorded over by an iconic water tower, this active marketplace showcases distinct personalities and menu—created using produce and raw goods delivered daily by the local locomotive.
Trilo-Bites – Dig up a tasty score before you transform into a fossil! Avoid extinction at all costs by sinking your teeth into zesty buffalo chicken chips or cooling off with frosty floats, draft beer and more.
Dino-Bite Snacks – Dig up frozen delights at this fossil-friendly site! Re-enact the Ice Age with ice cream cookie sandwiches and cool hot fudge sundaes.
