
Two ‘Mickey’ Attractions in Disney World Closing At the End of the Month. Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and Vacation Fun An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie at Hollywood Studios, will both be closing for refurbishment and will re-open later in 2025.
Vacation Fun has updated the website to reflect the closing on October 20th, 2025: Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie will be temporarily closed beginning October 20, 2025, and is planned to reopen later this year.
Same with: Mickey’s PhilharMagic will be temporarily closed beginning November 1 for routine refurbishment and is expected to reopen later in the month. The most recent closure came in October of 2021, when Disney Imagineering added “Un Poco Loco” from Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” and an animated scene based on the movie to the attraction.
Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie: Take your seat at the Mickey Shorts Theater for an original animated short starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Everything at this Hollywood theater is inspired by Mickey and Minnie – from fun, colorful architecture and framed movie posters, to hidden surprises just waiting to be discovered. The show, Vacation Fun, celebrates Mickey and Minnie’s favorite vacation memories, with never-before-seen animation mixed with clips from favorites like Panda-monium, Couples Sweaters, Potatoland, Croissant de Triomphe, Entombed, Dumb Luck, Al Rojo Vivo, Yodelburg and Outback at Ya!.
Mickey’s PhilharMagic: Disney magic meets Disney music in this spectacular 12-minute, 3D fantasy adventure starring Donald Duck.
Put on your 3D “opera glasses” and take a seat in the Concert Hall in front of the 150-foot-wide, 180-degree seamless wraparound screen.
As the lights dim, we find Donald Duck fast asleep. When he dons Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat and decides to try his hand at conducting the concert, he’s suddenly plunged into a 3D dream world of classic Disney animated musical sequences.
At the Magic Kingdom, we are still dealing with the closure of two major attractions. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Both will be opening again in 2026.
