Classic Character Meet and Greets Return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio from ‘Disney’s Pinocchio’, and Bert and Mary Poppins from ‘Mary Poppins’ have returned to meet and greet guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They are meeting in front of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway on Hollywood Boulevard.
These characters have been added because the construction going on at the Animation Courtyard has started to retheme the area to “The Walt Disney Studios’ lot that is due to reopen in 2026. Recently, Disney closed the area, including Launch Bay, Get Animated, and also removed the Disney Junior characters like Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, and Fancy Nancy.
Characters like Darth Vader, Max & Goofy, Chip & Dale, Pluto, Daisy, and Donald Duck have all been relocated during the construction.c
The returning classic Disney characters start meeting guests at 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Check the MDE (My Disney Experience) App for daily schedule.
Bert – Bert is a man of many talents and trades who has fun whether he’s at work or play. Clever and cheerful, he’s a good friend who will always lend a hand.
Mary Poppins – Mary Poppins is a practically perfect nanny who knows just when she’s needed most. By adding a touch of fun, she teaches valuable lessons in extraordinary ways.
Jiminy Cricket – Jiminy is a gentleman of a cricket! If Pinocchio gives a little whistle, Jiminy is there in a hop.
Pinocchio – Pinocchio proved himself brave, truthful, and unselfish. Now he’s a real boy-no strings attached!
Classic Character Meet and Greets Return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney Junior Animation Courtyard and Star Wars Launch Bay, along with the famous Disney’s Hollywood Studios Archway, are all being either removed or rethemed. Star Wars Launch Bay is being removed, while the building will be rethemed into “The Magic of Disney Animation.” The Hollywood Studios archway is being removed, and Disney Junior Play and Dance! is being rethemed. The whole courtyard will now be known as “The Walt Disney Studios” lot.
