HHN 2025 Food Preview Released for Universal Orlando. Fright fans are already gearing up for the start of Universal Orlando Resort’s highly anticipated Halloween Horror Nights, which kicks off next week. While the annual event is known for its terrifying haunted houses and sinister scare zones, this year’s menu promises to be a frightfully good surprise.
According to Chris Colón, the executive sous chef of research and development at Universal Orlando Resort, the park’s new food and beverage offerings are designed to be “disgustingly delicious.” This year’s theme is all about tricking the senses, with dishes that look like one thing but taste like something completely different—and delicious.
“We want to kind of give you this… disgustingly delicious food, to where it’s like, ‘Oh my God, that is not this, but, oh, it’s so delicious,'” Colón told TODAY.com.
Tricks and Treats on the Menu
One of the standout examples is the Yum Yum Deviled Eggs, a dish inspired by the new Fallout-themed haunted house. While they look exactly like classic deviled eggs, they are anything but. These deceptive treats are a sweet coconut panna cotta with a whipped pineapple ganache and a sprinkle of tahini. “You’re kind of scared before you eat them,” Colón explained, “and then it’s this delicious coconut panna cotta… It’s like one of those, like, ‘I’m scared, but oh my goodness, how delicious it is.'”
The culinary team is also paying tribute to the late WWE wrestler Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Sicks, who are featured in their own haunted house this year. The menu includes several items that “bring a couple of members of The Wyatt Sicks to life via food.”
A Taste of Terror
Many of the new dishes are thematically tied to the event’s ten haunted houses, including the terrifying Terrifier, the classic Jason Universe, and the new The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane. Guests will find these unique menu items at food kiosks throughout Universal Studios Florida and at select Universal Orlando Resort hotels.
Halloween Horror Nights runs from August 29 to November 2, offering a full season of scares, screams, and, this year, surprisingly delicious treats.
