Muppets Mania at Mickey’s of Glendale: Three New Collections Celebrate 70th Anniversary at Destination D23. Destination D23 is coming to Walt Disney World Resorts on August 29th through the 31st, 2025. We are less than 10 days away, and Mickey’s of Glendale has released more information regarding the new merchandise coming exclusively to the event!
The main one is The Muppets collection, and we have been collecting the Disney Parks X The Muppets 70th Anniversary for over a year now, and have the full list for you. Besides the first 35 Muppets being featured, Kermit will “Takeover” and a new Black and Gold Muppets Studio collection is coming.
The Muppets Studio Collections
The celebration for the 70th anniversary of The Muppets is in full swing, and Mickey’s of Glendale is marking the occasion with a trio of exclusive merchandise drops. The new collections offer something for every Muppets fan, from classic studio-inspired gear to a capsule dedicated to the one and only Kermit the Frog.
The drops include:
- The Muppets Studio Black & Gold Collection: This sleek collection features the iconic Muppets Studio logo on a classic crew cap and a new Spirit Jersey.
- Kermit Takeover Capsule: A soft, summery lime green collection starring everyone’s favorite frog, Kermit.
- The Muppets 70: #1–35 Collection: This nostalgic line of cozy apparel and home goods is inspired by the first 35 characters featured in the anniversary campaign.
Much of the merchandise was designed by Dani Iglesias, a producer for The Muppets Studio and a lifelong fan. “If you had told me as a kid that someday I’d be designing for The Muppets, I’d never have believed you,” Iglesias said. “My design process is all about keeping one foot in the past and one foot in the future — honoring the history of these beloved characters but also allowing the franchise to evolve.”
When asked which item she was most excited about, Iglesias pointed to a special sweatshirt from the anniversary collection. “It’s got over a dozen characters in the Muppet Show-style arches. It’s so soft and cozy — it’s going in my closet!”
