runDisney Virtual “The Muppets” Virtual 12k’s of Christmas Medal Reveal! Dust off your running shoes and get ready to wocka wocka your way through the holidays! runDisney has previously announced that its annual Virtual 12Ks of Christmas event will be themed to The Muppets in honor of the iconic franchise’s 70th anniversary. Today, runDisney has released the finisher medals themed to the Muppets.
The virtual race allows participants to complete a series of three 4K runs on their own time, anytime and anywhere, between December 1 and December 31, 2025. Each race is inspired by a different fan-favorite Muppet character, with each finisher earning an exclusive medal that doubles as a holiday ornament.
The festive lineup includes:
Miss Piggy & Foo-Foo 4K: A race designed for divas who can jog, strut, or “dramatically demand to be carried” through 2.49 miles of mayhem.
Gonzo & Camilla 4K: An event for those who want to launch themselves into 2.49 miles of holiday nonsense and spectacular stunts.
Kermit & Robin 4K: A feel-good run perfect for families and anyone who wants to hop their way through 2.49 miles of joy.
runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas Challenge: Complete all three 4Ks (that’s nearly 7.5 miles of total holiday hilarity!) and unlock a bonus medal featuring a festive crew of iconic Muppets ready to deck the halls. One challenge, one medal, all the mayhem.
Participants who complete all three 4K races will also earn a bonus Challenge medal featuring a festive crew of Muppets.
In addition to the commemorative medals, the $267 registration fee includes a Brooks running beanie, a holiday CORKCICLE mug, a box of Twinings holiday tea, and customizable digital tools like themed race bibs and finisher certificates.
General registration for the runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas Challenge opens on August 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST. The event is a celebration of “more cheer, more fun, and just the right amount of wocka wocka,” and runDisney will also make an independent donation to Toys for Tots in honor of the event.
