The Beak and Barrel Reservations Supposed to Open This Morning: Servers Down. Guests of the new pirate-themed lounge, The Beak and Barrel, are experiencing significant frustration this morning as server issues are preventing them from securing reservations. The technical difficulties have marred the opening of the reservation window for the new lounge, which is set to debut at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom on August 29, 2025.
According to multiple reports from guests attempting to book, the Walt Disney World website and My Disney Experience app are displaying an error message that attributes the problem to “Hei Hei’s Fault.” The message, which reads “It might be Hei Hei’s Fault……that we’re having a system issue at this time. We’ll have it fixed soon, though, so please try again later,” is followed by other error screens such as “We’re Down for Maintenance!” or “We See-See-See There is a Problem.”
The widespread server crash is a direct result of the immense demand for the first-ever lounge of its kind in the Magic Kingdom. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the opening of The Beak and Barrel, and the 6:00 AM EST reservation release was met with a surge of traffic that the system appears to have been unable to handle.
We are seeing some improvement with the site. The server is back up, and we can now see the calendar:
Updated: 9:20 AM EST: People are being told that reservations have been postponed for now. The original message: Reservations Advance reservations are highly recommended. Space is limited. Reservations for the Beak and Barrel open on August 14th.
Updated: 8:20 AM EST – We called the dining reservation number at 7:00 AM, and got through after an hour and 16 minutes wait. There is no help they can offer right now; the reservations are not available in their systems.
Updated: 7:30 AM EST – Dante is back, and the servers are down again. We got through for a minute, and The Beak and Barrel still showed unavailable, and when we clicked the reservation box, it took us directly to the website.

While guests continue to refresh their browsers in hopes of a solution, Disney has not yet provided a timeline for when the servers will be fully operational. The opening of The Beak and Barrel promises a new experience for park-goers, offering a pirate-themed atmosphere and a brand-new menu, which is available for preview, The Beak and Barrel Menu.
