D23 Gold Member Exclusive: Tickets June 25 for Disneyland’s New Walt Disney Animatronic Show & Panel. July 17th, 2025, marked the actual 70th anniversary of Disneyland, and on that day Disneyland will premiere a brand new show featuring an animatronic Walt Disney called “Walt Disney – A Magical Life.” On June 25th, 2025, D23 Gold Members can purchase tickets to a special private showing on July 18th, 2025, along with an exclusive pre-show introduction by Walt Disney Imagineering Portfolio Executive Creative Producer Jeff Shaver-Moskowitz.
“Walt Disney – A Magical Life” will debut inside the Main Street Opera House, and after its initial run, the attraction will play in rotation with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.” A fitting acknowledgement of Walt’s significant advances with Audio-Animatronics about 60 years ago when he first introduced the groundbreaking technology.

Calling all Mouseketeers and dreamers of all ages! D23 is beyond excited to offer Gold Members an exclusive morning viewing of Disneyland Park’s debuting show, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life”! Guests of this event can enjoy the latest Audio-Animatronics® addition to the Lincoln Theater, featuring a magical presentation of Walt Disney in a re-created version of his studio office. In a most perfect way to start a day at Disneyland, enjoy a showcase of Walt’s life and career with stunning remastered audio and video footage.
Plus, D23 Gold Members will enjoy an exclusive pre-show introduction by Walt Disney Imagineering Portfolio Executive Creative Producer Jeff Shaver-Moskowitz, who’ll chat about creating this magical experience and bringing Walt to life!
PLEASE NOTE: A park reservation and valid admission for Disneyland on the same date of the event experience (July 18, 2025) are required for each Guest ages 3 and older, and are not included in the price of this experience. There is no fee for Guests aged 2 and under to attend this event experience. Park reservations are limited, subject to availability, and not guaranteed. It is strongly recommended that Guests book theme park reservations for Disneyland before purchasing a ticket for this event.
If selecting the World of Color Happiness! viewing option, D23 Members and their Guest are required to possess a valid Park Hopper ticket for admission and a valid reservation beginning in Disneyland on the same date of the event experience (July 18, 2025) to attend, as a Park Hopper ticket will not be provided with purchase of this event ticket.
After the special preview, enjoy a day at the parks before returning in the evening to enjoy the parks’ nighttime spectaculars in reserved viewing areas to bookend a (Walt) Disney-led Disneyland day! Enjoy Disney California Adventure Park’s waterfront spectacular World of Color Happiness!, or the Paint the Night parade and Wondrous Journeys nighttime spectacular at Disneyland. Selection to be made at the time of ticket purchase. Quantities are limited in each experience.
