Disney Launches First-Ever Week of Wishes for World Wish Day. For nearly half a century, the power of dreams and the magic of Disney have combined to create moments of pure joy for children facing critical illnesses. Since 1980, the heartwarming partnership between Disney and Make-A-Wish has blossomed, granting an astounding 165,000 wishes worldwide. That’s not just a number; it’s 165,000 doses of happiness, hope, and inspiration delivered to children and their families during challenging times.
Incredible as it sounds, Disney proudly stands as the world’s largest wish granter for Make-A-Wish, making dreams come true at an astonishing rate – a wish granted every single hour of every day! This deep commitment underscores the dedication of countless Disney WishMakers across the company who pour their hearts into creating unforgettable experiences.
This week, the magic amplifies as Disney celebrates World Wish Day (April 29th) with a special, first-of-its-kind event: The Disney Week of Wishes (April 26th – May 2nd)! This week will also include the Once Upon A Wish Party being held at Walt Disney World. This event could be the most wholesome content we will cover all year.
