Disney is releasing two Beauty and the Beast limited edition dolls for the film’s 35th anniversary, a Belle doll in a limited edition of 4,600 and a Beast doll in a limited edition of 2,050. Both drop Friday, November 13, 2026, at 8 a.m. Pacific on DisneyStore.com and are coming soon to select shops at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
The release date lands 35 years to the day after Beauty and the Beast opened in New York on November 13, 1991, ahead of its nationwide release on November 22. It went on to become the first animated feature nominated for Best Picture. The anniversary has been building all fall, from the D23 35th anniversary screening at Disney Springs in October to this doll drop. It’s also a busy season for Disney dolls, coming right after the Ariel and Lottie Dance Series dolls we covered last month.
Both dolls are dressed for the library scene, an outfit pair that rarely gets the doll treatment. Designer J. Fuchs told the Disney Parks Blog it is “such a sweet, meaningful moment in the movie that rarely gets represented.”
Belle wears her green library gown with a satin bodice, gold embroidered filigree, puffed sleeves and pink bows on her shoulders. A double-layered split overskirt with gold trim opens over a satin underskirt embroidered with roses, and she has a rose necklace, earrings, heeled boots and a large hair bow. The Beast wears an embroidered blue satin vest and navy trousers under a velvet cape with faux fur, gold trim, a satin lining and lions embroidered along the bottom.
Each doll holds a book, something limited edition dolls don’t always get. “I usually prefer to keep props minimal for the dolls, but with these dolls capturing the storytelling and feeling of a specific moment, it just felt right for them to be holding books,” Fuchs said. Fuchs also noted that Disney has not offered a solo Beast doll in about 10 years, so this one can stand on its own or next to Belle.
The packaging is designed to look like a book from the Beast’s library, with gold foil, ribbon ties, a carrying handle, a commemorative sticker and a book-filled backdrop. Disney’s packaging team pulled the box liner art from the film’s hand-painted backgrounds.
Collectors may remember how the 30th anniversary went. In 2021, Disney sold Belle and the Beast only as a $500 set in an edition of 1,800, and pre-orders sold out in less than two weeks. This time the dolls are sold separately in much bigger editions, so you can buy just Belle or just the Beast. Watch the Beast closely, though, since his edition is less than half the size of Belle’s. Disney has not posted prices yet.
The Belle and Beast limited edition dolls drop November 13 at 8 a.m. Pacific on DisneyStore.com, with select Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort shops to follow.
