Cinemark’s The Cat in the Hat Fishbowl Popcorn Bucket and Thing 3 GRIPPR Cup are now available in Cinemark theaters and online at the Cinemark Shop. The Fishbowl bucket is $24.95 and the GRIPPR cup is $19.95, ahead of the movie’s November 6 opening. See every bucket from every chain in our Cat in the Hat popcorn bucket guide.
The Fishbowl bucket: It is a clear fishbowl with Fish sitting on the rim and The Cat in the Hat logo on the front. It holds 100 ounces of popcorn. In theaters, Cinemark gives you an XL popcorn on the side and free same-day refills. The GRIPPR cup: This 23-ounce cup is shaped like Thing 3, with fuzzy-looking blue hair on the lid, big round glasses, and a straw. Cinemark says it is a Cinemark Shop exclusive. In theaters, it comes with free same-day refills, but not on ICEEs. Both are on the Cinemark Shop’s Cat in the Hat page. You can buy up to three of each. Shipping costs extra.
Cinemark vs. Fandango: Fandango’s $49.99 bundle comes with the same Fishbowl bucket and a movie ticket. At $24.95 for the bucket alone, Cinemark is half the price. If you already have tickets, Cinemark is the better deal.
Our take: At $24.95, this is one of the cheaper buckets of the year. AMC’s Street Fighter Guile and Hadoken buckets were $39.99 and $45.99. Fish sitting on the rim makes it the one we would grab.
