The Royal Canadian Mint has released Deadpool and Wolverine gold and silver collectibles celebrating the Canadian roots of Marvel’s two best-known Canadian heroes. The three pieces went on sale October 6, 2026. A 1/4 ounce gold round is limited to 1,500, and two 1 ounce silver rounds are limited to 10,000 each.
The Mint’s reasoning is simple. Wade Wilson was born in Saskatchewan and James Howlett was born in Alberta, long before they became Deadpool and Wolverine. The pairing follows Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine, which we covered in 2024 when the film took over Disney experiences. More licensed releases like this are on our Disney Consumer Products guide.
The gold round is 99.99 percent pure gold and puts both characters on one piece, engraved opposite each other in frosted relief. It comes in a custom box with a clear acrylic frame for display.
The two silver rounds are 99.99 percent pure silver, 38 millimeters across, and finished in color on both sides. Deadpool strikes a classic pose, pointing to himself. Wolverine has his claws out. Each stands in front of an engraved maple leaf. The other side shows the character’s gloved hand with the line “Time to give the people what they came for.” Deadpool’s comes in a red box.
These were designed by Agoro, a New Zealand company that makes officially licensed precious metal collectibles, and struck by the Mint. They are rounds, not coins. Canadian Coin News reports that they carry no face value and are not legal tender. These new collectibles may be ordered by contacting the Mint at 1-800-267-1871 in Canada, 1-800-268-6468 in the US, or at www.mint.ca.
“The Mint is always looking for creative ways to showcase Canadian identity and express our national pride, so we were delighted to partner with Agoro to shine a light on the distinctly Canadian roots of Deadpool and Wolverine,” said Tom Froggatt, Chief Commercial Officer of the Royal Canadian Mint.
The Mint says the collectibles are available at mint.ca, at its boutiques in Ottawa and Winnipeg, and through dealers. U.S. buyers can order by phone at 1-800-268-6468. The announcement does not list prices. One Canadian dealer, Canadian Coin & Currency, has the Deadpool silver round on pre-order at $259.95 Canadian with shipping in late October, so check the price before you order.
These are display pieces for Marvel fans and coin collectors. With no face value, the price covers the metal, the license and the low mintage.
