Digger Movie Popcorn Buckets: Official Boot Bucket Announced, Second Tin Spotted Early

Digger Movie Popcorn Buckets: Official Boot Bucket Announced, Second Tin Spotted Early

September 14, 2026

Warner Bros. and Digger the Movie have officially announced a sculpted boot popcorn bucket for Digger, Tom Cruise’s new comedy, teasing it as “coming soon” ahead of the film’s October 2 release. FLN has also learned there are images of a second Digger bucket already out in the wild. Sauerbeck Family Drive-In had a rust colored tin version with a shovel-shaped scoop up on the website and has since removed it.

The official boot bucket is sculpted to look like an actual cowboy boot, rust colored with black tribal flame running up the sides and the word “Digger” worked into the design down the front. Warner Bros. has only said it is “coming soon” and has not given a release window, price, or capacity yet. We track every confirmed Digger sighting chain by chain on our Movie Theater Popcorn Buckets hub.

The item Sauerbeck had out is a different piece entirely, a standard tin rather than a sculpted boot. With the words “Tom Cruise is Digger” wordmark, the film’s tagline, “A Comedy of Catastrophic Proportions,” and a graphic of a pair of boot-clad legs. It comes packaged with a shovel-shaped scoop, a nod to Digger Rockwell’s line of work. Its tag confirms official Warner Bros. and Legendary licensing and a Golden Link manufacturing date of June 2026. Neither the tin’s capacity nor its price has been announced.

Sauerbeck putting merchandise out before a studio’s own reveal fits a pattern FLN has tracked before, where a smaller theater’s concession stand gets early stock and reliably lines up with bigger chains carrying the same or a similar item once a movie actually opens. AMC, Regal, or Cinemark bringing their own Digger buckets into the mix closer to October 2 would not be a surprise.

Digger is the new black comedy from two-time Oscar winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu, his first English-language film since The Revenant and his first project with Cruise, who plays Digger Rockwell, a blunt-talking, boot-wearing oil baron who causes a global environmental disaster and gets ordered by the president, played by John Goodman, to fix it. That character is exactly why boots show up on both buckets. Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde, and Emma D’Arcy round out the cast. Warner Bros. releases Digger in theaters and IMAX across North America on October 2, with an international release starting September 30 and a Royal Film Performance premiere in London on September 22.

Tickets are already on sale through Fandango, AMC Theatres, Cinemark, and Atom Tickets. We will update this piece as more chains confirm their own Digger merchandise ahead of the release. Join the Realm at fantasylandnews.com/the-realm for updates the moment they do.
