Forgotten Island is getting its own popcorn bucket lineup, led by a Boombox Tin, a Bungi Tumbler, and a two-piece BFF Charm Bracelet Set, all confirmed for Swan Drive-In (which has them for sale now). AMC, Cinemark, Marcus Theatres, and Regal will also have either the bucket/tin or sipper when the film opens on September 25. Forgotten Island opens in theaters nationwide on September 25. Tickets are now on sale at all theaters.

We first covered these three items when Swan added them to its lineup alongside Avengers: Endgame Encore and Wildwood. Swan’s release timing has shifted since then and now looks to land closer to when Forgotten Island ticket sales open in September, but the lineup itself is confirmed.

DreamWorks Forgotten Island Popcorn Bucket and Bungi Sipper Coming to Theaters
  • The Boombox Tin is styled as a retro cassette boombox with a purple carrying handle and a hand-painted look, complete with a “Property of Jo” label and a mixtape graphic reading “BFF Mix #127,” priced at $29.95.
  • The Bungi Tumbler is shaped like Bungi, one of the island’s mythological creatures, with a straw built into the top of its head, priced at $24.95.
  • The Charm Bracelet Set of 2 rounds things out at $19.95, with matching pink and blue bracelets built around BFF beads, a cowrie shell, a mini cassette tape, a guitar pick, and an incense stick charm, clearly meant to be split between two friends rather than worn by one person.

AMC has already confirmed its own version of the Boombox Tin will be available in theaters when Forgotten Island opens, so this design isn’t exclusive to Swan. Marcus Theatres has also confirmed it will carry the Boombox Tin and the Charm Bracelet Set, describing both as “coming soon” and exclusive to theatres while supplies last. Cinemark has gone a step further and already has its own Bungi cup available in theatres right now, making it the first chain to actually have a Forgotten Island collectible on sale rather than just announced. What’s still unclear is whether AMC will carry the Bungi Tumbler itself, or if that piece stays exclusive to Swan and Cinemark.

The BFF bracelet set is the smartest piece of this whole lineup. A boombox tin and a character tumbler are the kind of thing any animated release gets, but building a two-piece bracelet set around a movie that’s literally about two best friends fighting to hold onto their memories together is the rare bit of merch that actually understands what the film is about.

Forgotten Island – The new original film is written and directed by Academy Award® nominee Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado and is produced by Academy Award® nominee Mark Swift, the filmmaking team behind Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

While celebrating their last night together, Jo and Raissa stumble upon a mysterious portal that transports them to the fantastical island of Nakali, packed with magical and mythological creatures they grew up hearing stories about from their Filipino families.

Some of these figures will become friends, some foes. Joined by well-meaning-but- hapless weredog Raww (Dave Franco) and a small-but-mighty pack of pals, Jo and Raissa must face The Dreaded Manananggal (Tony winning icon Lea Salonga), the most feared creature on the island. When they discover that the memories of their entire friendship are the price for returning home, Jo and Raissa will race to find a way to leave the island before they forget each other forever.
