Three of Disney Springs’ Patina Restaurant Group locations are spending the fall raising money for pediatric cancer research. From September 1 through October 31, Maria & Enzo’s, Enzo’s Hideaway and The Edison are each selling a specialty dessert built around a house-made ginger snap cookie, with a portion of every sale going to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, a national nonprofit that funds research into new and less toxic treatments for childhood cancer.

At Maria & Enzo’s and Enzo’s Hideaway, the dessert is the Coppa di Maria and Gelato, a trio of vanilla, chocolate and pistachio gelato with sweet Amarena cherries, finished with the ginger snap cookie. The Edison’s version pairs a dulce de leche cheesecake with house-made gelato and the same cookie on top, tying all three restaurants to one cause even though the desserts themselves are different.

Executive Pastry Chef Michael Gabriel said the partnership gives guests “a delicious way to help make a meaningful impact,” and framed the ginger snap cookie as the thread connecting all three menus for the campaign. Childhood cancer remains one of the leading causes of disease-related death in kids, and Patina is positioning this fall promotion as a way to fund research, support families and bring some hope into the conversation.

For anyone already planning a Disney Springs trip this fall, this is about as easy as giving back gets. You were probably ordering dessert anyway. Now that order chips in toward pediatric cancer research without changing your plans or your bill by much. It is a small ask with real stakes behind it, and that is worth supporting.

The fundraiser runs through October 31 at Maria & Enzo’s, Enzo’s Hideaway and The Edison, all open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. in Disney Springs.
