A power outage affecting the China and Norway pavilions at EPCOT has closed Frozen Ever After and Reflections of China, along with several nearby locations, as of this afternoon. Frozen Ever After, one of EPCOT’s most popular attractions and consistently one of the longest waits in the park, is currently down. Reflections of China, the panoramic film in the China pavilion, is also closed while crews work through the outage.
Dining has been affected as well. Nine Dragons Restaurant in China and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Norway are both hoping to reopen around 4pm, though that timeline could shift depending on how quickly the power issue is resolved.
For guests currently in the park or heading there today, it’s worth checking wait times before making your way to World Showcase, since both pavilions are dealing with more than just the headline attractions. We’ll update this article as soon as we hear more from Disney on restoration progress.
If you’re at EPCOT today with Frozen Ever After on your must-do list, don’t panic yet, but do have a backup plan. Power outages at Disney parks are usually resolved within a few hours, and Disney has a good track record of getting things back online faster than initially estimated. Use the downtime to hit Test Track or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind on the other side of the park, then loop back to World Showcase later in the day when things are more likely to be running again.
