Morimoto Asia, Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s Pan-Asian restaurant at Disney Springs, has launched the Kakigōri Kool cart today, June 23, 2026, marking the only shaved ice cart anywhere at Disney Springs.

The cart is located just outside the restaurant and brings kakigōri, a traditional Japanese dessert with a history stretching back thousands of years, to Walt Disney World. Kakigōri is made from finely shaved ice blended with fresh fruit syrups and toppings, designed to have a texture closer to fallen snow than typical shaved ice. In Japan, it is a summer staple served at festivals, fairs, convenience stores, and street stalls alike.
Disney Springs guests will have two options at launch. The Signature features frozen vanilla custard, shaved ice, cherry syrup, pineapple syrup, blue raspberry syrup, condensed milk, and diced pineapple. The Classic keeps things simpler with shaved ice mixed with grape, cherry, and lemon syrups. Bottled Acqua Panna and Perrier sparkling water are also available at the cart.

Disney Springs has steadily built one of the better outdoor snacking scenes at Walt Disney World, and a dedicated kakigōri cart fills a real gap, since nothing else on property currently offers this style of shaved ice. The Signature option, with vanilla custard built in, sounds like the better value of the two for anyone wanting something more substantial than a simple syrup-and-ice treat, while the Classic is the better choice on a hot Florida afternoon when you just want something cold and not too heavy.
