Universal Orlando Summer 2026 Lineup Includes a Spielberg Exhibit, JAWS Experiences, New Minion Characters, and a Ticket Deal That Covers Epic Universe. Universal Orlando Resort’s summer 2026 lineup runs from May 23 through August 10 and leans hard into a theme that suits the park perfectly: the golden age of the Hollywood blockbuster, with a particular spotlight on Steven Spielberg and the films that defined summer moviegoing for generations.

Everything Coming to Universal Orlando This Summer and How to Pay Less for It

Spielberg Summer Blockbusters and Disclosure Day

The centerpiece of the new programming is the Spielberg Summer Blockbusters exhibit at Universal Studios Florida, which highlights props and behind-the-scenes stories from some of Spielberg’s most iconic films. The timing is not accidental. Spielberg’s new film, Disclosure Day, hits theaters and IMAX on June 12 and represents his first return to alien science fiction since War of the Worlds more than 20 years ago. Starring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, and Colin Firth, with a score composed by John Williams in their 30th collaboration together, the film is one of the most anticipated originals of 2026. Universal Orlando is essentially turning its own park into a preseason celebration for their biggest summer release, and for guests already planning a trip, that is a genuine bonus layer to the visit.

JAWS Experiences and the Summer Movie Series

JAWS fans get their own dedicated corner of the summer with a series of photo ops built around iconic settings and elements from the film, alongside specialty food and drinks and a park’s exclusive merchandise collection with limited-release apparel and accessories. The Summer Movie Series at Universal CityWalk runs on select dates from June 20 through August 26, with screenings of Back to the Future, JAWS, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and more at Universal Cinemark. A separate movie ticket is required for those screenings.

Minions and Monsters Characters and New Menu Items

Illumination’s Minions and Monsters brings two new Minions from the upcoming film to Universal Studios Florida. Henry and James are available for interactive photo ops, and guests can also find a shoulder pal of Goomi, one of the new monster characters from the movie, along with blind box collectible figures. The Minion Cafe is adding themed menu items inspired by the film, including Irene’s Creamsicle Cheesecake Fold Over and Monster Marshmallow Lemonade.

Returning Seasonal Entertainment

Several fan-favorite experiences return for summer 2026 on select nights across the resort.

Universal Mega Movie Parade

The Universal Mega Movie Parade returns at Universal Studios Florida with more than a dozen floats and nearly 100 performers celebrating films including E.T., Back to the Future, JAWS, Ghostbusters, Jurassic World, Minions, Trolls, and Kung Fu Panda. Annual and Seasonal Passholders get a dedicated viewing area for the parade this summer.

CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular

The nighttime lagoon show returns at Universal Studios Florida, taking guests through soundtracks and moments from blockbuster films with live-scale special effects on the water.

Hogwarts Always

The projection show at Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure returns on May 30, casting the iconic moments of a Hogwarts school year across the castle facade.

Hotel Experiences and CityWalk Summer Activities

Hotel guests get extra this summer. Exclusive weekend character meet-and-greets run every Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Universal Studios Florida, available only to guests staying at Universal Orlando hotels. Large-scale sand sculptures themed to popular characters are spread across all 11 hotels, and summer-themed beverages are available throughout the entire hotel portfolio.

At CityWalk, Red Coconut Club hosts Re(d)tro Nights on select evenings from May 8 through July 18, an 80s and 90s overlay with arcade games, throwback DJ sets, and photo ops. A Summer Music Series brings live band performances every Saturday night from June 20 through August 15 with themed genre nights including Broadway, Legends of Rock, and EDM. Guests can also watch the World Cup at NBC Sports Grill and Brew from June 11 through July 19 with specialty food and live entertainment.

Summer 2026 Ticket Deals

There are three offers worth knowing before you book.

Florida Residents

Florida residents can get a second day free on a one-day Park-to-Park ticket and save up to 25% on stays at participating Universal Orlando hotels this summer.

U.S., Canadian, and Latin American Residents

The strongest deal for out-of-state guests is the Buy a 3-Day Base or Park-to-Park Ticket, Get 2 Days Free offer, which grants five total days of access to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Epic Universe for the price of three days. Epic Universe is a full additional park that opened earlier this year, so this deal effectively includes the newest theme park in Orlando at no extra cost.

Annual and Seasonal Passholders

Passholders save up to 30% on stays at participating Universal Orlando hotels this summer and receive exclusive in-park perks, including the dedicated parade viewing area and exclusive food and beverage items.

Our take: the Spielberg framing is smart, and it works because Universal actually owns this lane. No other theme park can put real film props and behind-the-scenes history in front of guests while also running the movie in theaters down the street. The JAWS experiences are the kind of fan-service detail that rewards guests who grew up with the film, and if Epic Universe was already part of your summer plan, the five-day-for-three pricing is a real incentive to book sooner rather than later.
