Disney and Vogue have announced a multi-year creative partnership that will bring some of fashion’s most boundary-pushing designers into Disney’s archives to reimagine Mickey Mouse, with Ami Paris creative director Alexandre Mattiussi set to launch the first collection in early 2027.

The initiative was revealed on April 24 and celebrated the night before at an intimate reception in Notting Hill, London. Each participating designer gets direct access to Disney’s archives, including vintage silhouettes, graphics, and decades of Mickey Mouse storytelling, and then builds a contemporary collection through their own creative lens. Vogue serves as a creative consultant throughout the program, shaping the cultural conversation around each launch.

Vogue contributing editor Mark Holgate is identifying the designers for the program, selecting names known for cultural impact and a genuine affinity for Mickey and Friends. Mattiussi is first up, and his comments about the collaboration say a lot about how Disney chose to kick things off. He described growing up with Disney as a world of imagination and emotion that shaped how he sees creativity, and called the opportunity to connect that sense of wonder with Ami Paris’s vision of friendship, joy, and modern Parisian style a true honor.

Lisa Baldzicki, President of Disney Consumer Products, framed the initiative as a celebration of Mickey as an enduring style icon, with new interpretations reflecting how Mickey continues to inspire creativity and style around the world. The partnership builds on Disney’s presence at Vogue World: Hollywood, where the brand’s influence on film, fashion, and culture was evident in runway moments and celebrity appearances.

The program will unfold through distinct collection drops and cultural moments over multiple years, with touchpoints spanning products, experiences, and community across key global markets. Follow @disneystyle on Instagram and TikTok for updates as each designer’s work is revealed.
This is exactly the kind of Disney consumer products story worth watching closely. A multi-year runway into Mickey’s 100th anniversary gives Disney and its partners time to build something genuinely special rather than a single anniversary drop, and starting with a house like Ami Paris sets a high bar for whoever comes next. We will be tracking every collection right here.
