Disney Experiences has won two People’s Voice Webby Awards at the 30th Annual Webby Awards, with wins going to the Kylie Kelce Walt Disney World podcast episode and the viral robotic Olaf Imagineering video.

The two wins came in separate categories. The first was Best Partnership or Collaboration in Podcasts, earned by the “My Disney Spectacular” episode of Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, produced with Walt Disney World. In it, Kylie works through picking a favorite Disney character, shares “Not-So-Pro Tips” for navigating the parks with young kids, and welcomes her mother-in-law, Donna Kelce, for a look back at how the two of them first met. Her daughters also make a surprise appearance.

The second win was Best Technology in Video and Film, going to the We Call It Imagineering YouTube video that revealed the self-walking robotic Olaf now appearing in World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris, and walked through the broader innovation pipeline from BDX Droids to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

The Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences and have been called the Internet’s highest honor by The New York Times. This year’s competition drew more than 13,000 entries from over 70 countries, with more than 4.6 million votes cast by over 940,000 people. The People’s Voice category is decided entirely by public vote, which makes these wins a direct reflection of what Disney fans and general audiences responded to most.

Disney Experiences will attend the ceremony in New York City on May 11, hosted by comedian Josh Johnson, where every winner gets exactly five words to say whatever they want on stage. Past speeches that landed well include Steve Wilhite’s GIF pronunciation declaration, NASA’s “Houston, We Have A Webby,” Stephen Colbert’s deeply committed “Me, me, me, me, me,” and Beaker from the Muppets accepting an award and reacting exactly as you would expect. Whatever Disney Experiences brings to that stage, the bar has been set at a very weird and very high place.

The Webby Awards have always been a category worth watching for anyone doing creative digital work, and a People’s Voice win driven entirely by fan votes is a different kind of validation than a jury award. Disney got two of them in one night. Follow along at Fantasy Land News and join our community at fantasylandnews.com/the-realm.
