Star Wars Popcorn Buckets and Novelties Are Coming to Disneyland for May the 4th 2026! Two new Star Wars popcorn buckets are headed to Disneyland Park starting April 28 and May 4, 2026, joined by a wave of sippers, swizzle sticks, and collectible mugs timed to May the 4th celebrations and the return of Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. Disney has confirmed the full lineup through the Disney Parks Blog, and there is a lot here for fans of every era of the saga. Jabba’s Sail Barge Popcorn Bucket, along with a new Salvaged Protocol Droid Popcorn Bucket, and the previously announced Bantha Sipper!
The Salvaged Protocol Droid Bucket Is the First Drop

The first bucket landing on April 28 is the Salvaged Protocol Droid Bucket. It features a beat-up droid design with light-up eyes, leaning into that worn, well-traveled look that gives it real character. It will be available at the Popcorn Cart near Star Trader, Galactic Grill via Mobile Order, Alien Pizza Planet, Kat Saka’s Kettle, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Beverage Carts. Guests are limited to two per person per transaction, and no discounts apply.
If you are tracking every Disney popcorn bucket currently available at both coasts, the Fantasy Land News Disney Popcorn Buckets guide is updated monthly with the full list.
Jabba’s Sail Barge Bucket Arrives on May the 4th

The bucket most Return of the Jedi fans will be talking about drops on May 4. Jabba’s Sail Barge Bucket is modeled after the Khetanna, the lavish barge from the Tatooine desert sequence, and it includes light-up elements and hidden characters tucked into the design, like C-3P0, R2-D2, Jabba, and Salacious Crumb. This one is available at the same locations as the Protocol Droid Bucket, with the addition of a Mobile Order window specifically on May 4, 5, and 6 through Galactic Grill’s Seasonal Novelty Release. The same two-per-person limit applies.
Disney has said both buckets will also be sold during Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite, the separately ticketed after-hours event running as part of the May the 4th festivities.
The Bantha Sipper Has Sound Effects and a Long Waitlist of Fans

The Bantha Sipper was first shown off at Destination D23, so this is the first time most guests will be able to actually buy one. It launches April 28 and features the shaggy, horned look of the creature with built-in sound effects. It will be sold at the Milk Stand, Galactic Grill, Alien Pizza Planet, and Tomorrowland Fruit Cart, among other locations. This one has been on a lot of fans’ radar since its D23 debut, so expect demand to be high early on.
Lightsaber Swizzle Sticks and the DJ R-3X Mug Round Out the April 28 Wave

Also arriving April 28 are rechargeable Lightsaber Swizzle Sticks in two versions, a green Luke Skywalker saber and a red Darth Vader saber. They are sold submerged into sodas or slushies and can be taken home and recharged after your visit. You can find them at Galactic Grill, Ronto Roasters, Milk Stand, and Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, with additional locations available during Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite at Harbour Galley, Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, and Stage Door Cafe.
Rounding out the April 28 drop is the DJ R-3X Ceramic Mug, an intricately designed keepsake inspired by the droid DJ working the booth at Oga’s Cantina. This one is exclusive to Oga’s Cantina and is a genuine collector’s piece for anyone who loves the Galaxy’s Edge world-building.
What Is Already Available in Galaxy’s Edge Right Now
If you are heading to Disneyland before April 28, you are not going empty-handed. The Tauntaun Bucket is currently available at Kat Saka’s Kettle, the Popcorn Cart near Star Trader, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Beverage Carts. Oga’s Cantina is also selling the Grinning Loth-cat with Souvenir Mug and the Yub Nub with Souvenir Endor Mug. The Yoda Stainless Steel Tumbler can be found at Galactic Grill and at hotel locations, including The Coffee House at Disneyland Hotel and GCH Craftsman Grill at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.
FLN Take: The Jabba’s Sail Barge Bucket is the standout here. It is a deep-cut pick that longtime fans will love, rather than just the most recognizable characters, and the light-up elements plus hidden characters give it a reason to be displayed even after the popcorn is gone. The Bantha Sipper with sound effects is the kind of novelty that either delights or annoys everyone around you, which honestly makes it more fun. Disney is doing a solid job layering the release calendar so there is a reason to visit on April 28 and again on May 4.
Disney has also confirmed that details on when some of these items will arrive at Walt Disney World Resort are still to come, so keep an eye on Fantasy Land News for that update as May the 4th approaches.
