New Trailer Drops for Fourth and Final Season of ‘The Way Home’. A new trailer dropped today for the last season of ‘The Way Home.‘ The fourth and final season will air on Hallmark Channel on April 19th and be available the next day on Hallmark+.
‘The Way Home’ is a generational family drama that explores the theme of time travel. The series stars Chyler Leigh and Sadie Laflamme-Snow as mother and daughter, Cat and Alice. Andie MacDowell stars as the matriarch of the Landry family, Del. Evan Williams stars as the next-door neighbor and keeper of the time travel secrets, Elliot Augustine.

The trailer for the new season shows that we are going to the 20s. Cat is going to meet her young great-grandmother, Fern. Jacob seems to be running away, having struggled with being in the present. Does Del get to see Colton? What secrets will we uncover this season? Cat goes on a mission to find Elliot’s mother.
For three seasons, we have seen Cat and Alice use the Landry pond to jump back and forth between the past and present. They have met ancestors and seen some family members die. The first season deals with Cat and Alice going back to the 90s to see if they can solve what happened to Cat’s missing brother, Jacob. Jacob went missing and was never seen again. During that time, Cat’s father, Colton, passed away after an accident. Elliot is the one who knows and has always known what’s coming and what’s going on. He has watched Alice time-travel from when they were teens in the 90s until he meets her in the present day.
In season 2, they find Jacob. He’s been in the 1800s all this time. While Cat spends time back and forth in the 1800s, Alice goes back to the early 2000s. All the while, Del still has no idea what is going on and where Cat and Alice disappear to all the time. During this season, we meet Casey. Casey, a grandchild of Evelyn Goodwin, wants to work with Cat. They are mysterious and without a doubt a time traveler, but to when? Elliot has a lot of secrets of his own to uncover.
Season 3, Jacob comes home, and Del learns all about the pond and what has happened in the past. The gang ends up going to the 70s. There, they meet young Colton and Del. The girls eventually take Del to the pond with them, and she gets to see herself and Colton get married. We get to meet Elliot’s family in the past. At the end of the season, baby Elliot is left on the Landry doorstep.
