Disney Secures Big Wins at 2026 Kidscreen Awards

The 2026 Kidscreen Awards wrapped up with The Walt Disney Company taking home eight awards. These honors highlight the best in children’s television and digital media. Disney Branded Television and Disney Television Animation led the charge with several major wins.

Top Honors for Out of My Mind: The Disney+ film Out of My Mind was a standout. It won Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie and also picked up the Best Inclusivity award. The film’s cast earned the Best Ensemble Cast trophy as well. This movie follows a young girl with cerebral palsy and has clearly made an impact on industry judges.

In the preschool category, Disney swept the holiday special section. Mickey and Minnie’s Christmas Carols and Mickey’s Spooky Stories tied for the win. Both specials used stop-motion animation to bring classic characters to life for a younger audience.

The animated series Kiff also performed well. The show won for both Best Music and Best Writing. These awards recognize the creative team at Titmouse and Disney Television Animation for their work on the musical comedy.

Disney’s reach extended into other genres and age groups, too. National Geographic’s A Real Bug’s Life won Best Live-Action Series for kids. In the teen category, the long-running hit Bob’s Burgers won Best Animated Series.

The digital side saw success with Cartoonified!, which won Best Digital Series for kids. Primos also grabbed an award for Best Inclusivity in the kids’ programming category.

The Status of Bluey: While Bluey won for Best YouTube Channel and Best Mobile Game, those awards go to the creators at Ludo Studio and BBC Studios. Disney still airs the show globally, so these wins reflect well on the content found on Disney+ and Disney Junior.

These results show that Disney remains a leader in creating stories that connect with kids and families today.
