Disney Books has officially announced the release of The Long-Lived King: An Original The Owl House Graphic Novel, a brand-new adventure set in the beloved animated universe. The graphic novel is by series creator Dana Terrace and continues the story after the events of the television series finale.

Set to release on September 29, 2026, the 144-page graphic novel brings back Luz, Eda, King, and the rest of the Owl House crew for an emotional and action-packed new chapter.

A Post-Finale Return to the Boiling Isles

Following the conclusion of The Owl House, fans have been eager to revisit the magical world of witches, demons, and Titans. The Long-Lived King dives deeper into the aftermath of the finale, offering readers a heartfelt exploration of what comes next for the characters.

At the center of the story is King, who is beginning to grapple with the true weight of being a Titan. For the first time, he fully confronts the reality that he will outlive his beloved Owl House family. Determined not to let that looming future overshadow the present, King makes a risky decision: he uses one of the Collector’s mysterious devices in an attempt to erase his painful memories.

However, things quickly spiral out of control.

Instead of easing his own burden, King accidentally wipes Luz’s memories entirely. Faced with the consequences of his actions, King must team up with the Collector and Eda to restore Luz’s memories—while confronting their deepest fears along the way.

A Fresh Visual Style

In addition to its emotionally resonant story, The Long-Lived King features stunning black-and-white artwork presented in a fresh, manga-inspired style. The new visual direction offers longtime fans a dynamic way to experience the Boiling Isles, while remaining true to the heart and humor that defined the original series.

Packed with comedy, magic-fueled action, and deeply personal stakes, the graphic novel promises an unforgettable return to one of Disney’s most celebrated modern animated worlds.

Release Details

As anticipation builds, The Long-Lived King looks poised to become a must-read for fans eager to revisit the Owl House family and explore what the future holds for King and the Boiling Isles. Stay tuned to FantasyLandNews.com for more updates on upcoming Disney Books releases and animation news.
