The Savannah Bananas are Heading to Disneyland What You Need to Know

The Savannah Bananas are Heading to Disneyland: What You Need to Know. The Savannah Bananas are bringing their “Banana Ball” style to Disneyland Resort this month. If you’re planning to be in the parks, here is what’s happening and how to see them.

When and where

The team will be at Disneyland Park on Friday, Feb. 21. They aren’t playing a full game in the park, but they are performing a “cavalcade”—basically a small parade—down Main Street, U.S.A.

The parade starts at 2:30 p.m. It begins near “it’s a small world” and ends at Town Square.

What to expect

You’ll see the full roster, including the players, the dancing first base coach, and the “Banana Nanas” (their senior cheer squad). They usually bring a lot of energy, music, and choreographed dances. Expect the yellow tuxedos and plenty of interaction with the crowd.

Select Outdoor Vending Carts

  • Frozen Bananas Dipped in Chocolate

Fruit Carts

Getting in

You don’t need a special ticket to see the parade, but you do need regular theme park admission and a Disneyland Park park reservation for Feb. 21.

If you have a Park Hopper ticket or a Magic Key, you can cross over from Disney California Adventure after 11:00 a.m., provided Disneyland isn’t at capacity.

Tips for watching

  • Show up early: Main Street gets crowded for any parade. If you want a spot at the curb, try to get there at least 30 to 45 minutes early.
  • Check the app: Download the Disneyland app. It will have the most up-to-date timing for the cavalcade in case anything changes last minute.
  • Wear yellow: A lot of fans will likely be wearing Bananas gear, so expect a sea of yellow along the parade route.

The team is in town because they are playing a series of actual games at Angel Stadium from Feb. 21–23. Those games are sold out, so this parade is likely the only way to see them in person if you don’t already have tickets to the stadium.
