Filming Wraps at Walt Disney World for Hallmark’s Landmark Lacey Chabert Holiday Movie. The “Most Magical Place on Earth” just finished hosting the “Queen of Christmas.” Production has officially wrapped on location at Walt Disney World Resort for the highly anticipated Hallmark Channel original movie, Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True.
The film, which stars Hallmark staple Lacey Chabert and Travis Van Winkle, marks a historic first-ever collaboration between the Hallmark Channel and Disney Parks for a full-length holiday feature. The new movie will premiere on Hallmark Channel in 2026 as part of Countdown to Christmas.
The news of the production’s conclusion was shared by Disney star Christy Carlson Romano. Romano took to social media to celebrate the milestone, posting a photo of herself holding a production clapboard and with the words “That’s a Wrap” written on the photo. You can follow her whole filming adventures in her IG stories!
For Disney fans, Romano’s presence in the film is a nostalgic homecoming. A true Disney Channel star, Romano rose to fame in the early 2000s as a cornerstone of the network’s “Golden Era.” She is best known for her role as the overachieving Ren Stevens in the hit series Even Stevens and for providing the iconic voice of the title character in the animated sensation Kim Possible. Her Disney resume also includes starring as Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cadet Kelly alongside Hilary Duff.
Filming Across the Magic
To capture the authentic scale of a Disney vacation, the production utilized several of the resort’s most iconic locations. Fans and guests caught glimpses of filming at:
- Magic Kingdom Park: Where scenes were shot near the Cinderella Fountain, a key plot point where Chabert’s character, Lindsey, makes a life-changing holiday wish.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Capturing the glitz and glamour of the park’s holiday decor.
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort: Serving as a tropical, festive backdrop for the families’ stay.
What to Expect from “Holiday Ever After”: The movie follows Lindsey (Chabert) as she heads to Walt Disney World for a dream Christmas with her extended family. The vacation takes an unexpected turn when she realizes her hotel room is right next door to Philip (Van Winkle), a man she recently shared a disastrous first date with. As their families participate in various Disney holiday traditions, the “pixie dust” begins to work its magic, turning a rivalry into a potential romance.
Supporting the leads is a cast that includes Richard Kind, Bryce Durfee, Taegen Burns, and Asher Alexander, with a special cameo by The Sandlot star Patrick Renna.
Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True is scheduled to headline Hallmark Channel’s 17th annual Countdown to Christmas programming event in late 2026. This early wrap ensures the film will be ready to deliver plenty of “pixie-dusted” romance when it premieres next year.
