Finding a rare Disney Pixar collectible is every Disney fan’s dream, but one lucky shopper just hit the jackpot at a local Goodwill. Collector @retroxpressthrift spotted a massive, life-sized Sulley statue sitting in the donation bins and quickly realized it wasn’t just a toy, it was a piece of Toys “R” Us and Disney Pixar history. For just $15, they walked away with an original 2001 Monsters, Inc. store display.
Spotted resting among the bins was a massive James P. “Sulley” Sullivan statue, and his one-eyed sidekick, Mike Wazowski. While it might look like a giant stuffed animal, this is actually a piece of “retail history”; a 2001 Toys “R” Us store display used to promote the original release of Disney Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.
Released on November 2, 2001, Monsters, Inc. introduced the world to James P. “Sulley” Sullivan (voiced by John Goodman). These life-sized statues were meant to anchor massive toy aisles at Toys “R” Us, stopping shoppers in their tracks. Finding one today in such good condition is nearly impossible, as they were never meant for public sale.

Sullivan, Mike Wazowski, and more. The new land will be home to a new vertical lift roller coaster, a new restaurant, Harryhausen’s Sushi, and a new stage show.
