The Walt Disney Studios announced today that Avatar: Fire and Ash has officially crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office, joining its predecessors to make the Avatar saga one of the only franchises in history to have its first three films each reach the billion-dollar milestone.

The milestone makes Avatar: Fire and Ash the third film in the franchise to surpass $1 billion globally, establishing Avatar among the most elite franchises in cinema history – and one of only a select few whose three films have each crossed the billion-dollar threshold.
