Disney World is changing how the Dining Plan works in 2026. Usually, people buy the plan because it makes a vacation feel “all-inclusive” and less stressful. But starting next year, four popular restaurants are making things a little more complicated by limiting when you can actually use your credits. If you’re planning a trip, you need to know about these shifts. Here are the four restaurants changing their rules.
Disney is offering Free Dining for Kids in 2026, so a lot of families will be using the plan. These changes mean you can’t just walk into a restaurant and assume your credits will work. You have to check the clock first. It’s annoying to have to plan your day around whether a restaurant considers 3:00 PM to be lunch or dinner, but that’s the new reality for these four spots.
Terralina Crafted Italian (Disney Springs): This is a nice Italian spot right on the water. Right now, you can use your dining credits whenever they are open. In 2026, they will only take the Dining Plan for lunch. Most people want a big Italian dinner. If you go here after the lunch cutoff, you’ll have to pay full price out of pocket.
The Edison (Disney Springs): The Edison has a cool 1920s theme and is a great place to hang out at night. This one is the opposite of Terralina. They will only accept the Dining Plan for dinner. If you were hoping to grab a quick lunch here using a credit, you’re out of luck. You’ll have to save this spot for your evening meal.
Tutto Italia Ristorante (EPCOT): Our absolute favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World is making a big dining plan change. This restaurant in the Italy pavilion is usually a “best buy” for the Dining Plan because the food is expensive. Using a credit card here saves a lot of money. Starting in 2026, it’s lunch only. It’s a bit of a letdown for those using the Disney Dining Plan in 2026. If you wanted a fancy sit-down dinner in EPCOT to watch the fireworks afterward, you can’t use your plan here anymore.
Via Napoli (EPCOT): This is arguably the most popular pizza place in Disney World. It’s almost always packed because the wood-fired pizza is actually good. A lot of families use this as a lunch break to get out of the sun. But in 2026, you won’t be able to use your credits for a midday pizza. You’ll have to wait until dinner time. Via Napoli is switching to dinner only for the Dining Plan.
Dining plans at Walt Disney World Resort can add the convenience, flexibility, and peace of mind of prepaid meals and snacks to your Walt Disney World vacation.
