Markiplier’s ‘Iron Lung’ Sets Massive 2,000-Screen Release; Tickets Now on Sale for Harkins Theatres. Tickets are now on sale for the movie Iron Lung. It opens on Thursday, January 29, 2026. You can find it at Harkins Theatres and over 2,000 other screens across the country.

The transition from digital creator to silver-screen director reaches a fever pitch as Harkins Theatres and major exhibitors announce that tickets are now officially on sale for Iron Lung. The sci-fi horror epic, written, directed by, and starring YouTube powerhouse Mark Fischbach (known to millions as Markiplier), is scheduled to descend into theaters on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

The story takes place after a peculiar event known as “The Quiet Rapture.” In this world, all the stars and planets just disappeared. The only thing left is a moon with an ocean of blood. You follow a prisoner who has to go down into that blood in a tiny, rusty submarine.

The sub is old, and the walls are thin. The person inside can’t see out of any windows, so they have to use a camera to take pictures of what’s outside. It’s a horror movie that focuses on being trapped in a small space with something scary moving in the dark.

Harkins Theatres is helping lead the release, but it’s going to be in a lot of places. Because it’s opening on 2,000 screens, it should be easy to find a showtime near you.

You can get tickets right now on the Harkins website, their app, or at the theater box office.
