Moviegoers can experience the Aaron Sorkin-penned classic starring Michael Douglas and Annette Bening for just $5 at select Harkins locations, with all proceeds benefiting the Human Rights Campaign, the largest civil rights organization in the U.S. working for LGBTQ+ equality.

Directed by Reiner and written by Aaron Sorkin, The American President stars Michael Douglas as a widowed U.S. president who falls in love with an environmental lobbyist, played by Annette Bening. He is forced to choose between his political career and his new relationship as his approval ratings decline due to political attacks. The film also stars Martin Sheen, Michael J. Fox and Richard Dreyfuss.
