D23 Gold Members: Disney Parks Holiday Traditions Special Airs This Week. If you’re a D23 Gold Member, you have a cool holiday treat coming up. D23 is hosting a special virtual event called “Holiday Traditions in the Disney Parks: a Global Celebration.” It’s part of the D23 Gold Theater series, presented by State Farm.
The hosts, Graham Allan and Becky Cline, will take you through the history of how Disney Parks around the world celebrate the holidays. You’ll see things like the first holiday parades at Disneyland and the big parties at Magic Kingdom, like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. They’ll also talk about the newer, glamorous Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Plus, get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the beloved Candlelight Processional. That’s the classic event held at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. You’ll hear directly from the Disney cast members and Imagineers. They’ll share how they quickly turn the parks into a complete holiday wonderland every single year. It takes a lot of passion and creativity to make that magic happen.
