25th Anniversary Gingerbread Carousel Arrives At Disney World. It is always a special day when the Disney Gingerbread displays start showing up at Walt Disney World resorts. Contemporary resort gets the Dream Castle display, Boardwalk has the house, Animal Kingdom Lodge promises something different again this year, but in the past it was the Ginger-affe and Zebra, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will have something special.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Gingerbread Carousel at the Yacht & Beach Club Resort at Disney’s Boardwalk. Started in 2000, now marking 25 years in 2025. In the past, we have seen nods to Disney Princesses and Disney characters, like Mickey Mouse, but this year is special. Check out video below.

The Disney Gingerbread Carousel itself took 40 Disney Culinary Cast Members to create; each horse had its own team that designed and built them.
Gingerbread Carousel – Presented by the Yacht and Beach Bakery for the 25th year! This Massive Candy Construction is made of the following:
- 1200 pounds of rye flour,
- 432 pounds of honey
- 25 pounds of spices
- 100 quartz of eggs
- 10 pounds of simple syrup
- 200 pounds of icing
- 10 quarts of egg whites
- 100 pounds 168 pounds of confectioner’s sugar
- 200 gumpaste flowers
- 50 pounds of dark chocolate
- 20 pounds of Grand Marnier
- 2024 pieces of gingerbread
- 25 hidden gold Mickey…. Mickeys… can you find it?
