Step into Zootopia with Immersive AR Lenses: Snapchat is rolling out the welcome mat for Zootopia citizens everywhere with seven brand-new, dynamic Augmented Reality (AR) Lenses. Inspired by the film’s charming and unforgettable characters, these Lenses allow Snapchat users to instantly transform and interact with the magic of Zootopia 2.
The new AR Lenses will be prominently featured and easily accessible in a dedicated, branded AR Bar within the Lens carousel from November 24 to November 27. It’s a quick, visual, and personal way for friends and family to share their enthusiasm for the film and “Say it in a Snap.“
Animated World Meets Reality in Los Angeles: The Zootopia experience is leaping off the screen and into iconic locations across Los Angeles. Real-world, out-of-home (OOH) activations at spots like The Grove and The Americana are set to seamlessly blend Zootopia’s animated universe with Snap’s real-world AR technology. A Star-Studded On-Screen Debut: Moviegoers heading to theaters for Zootopia 2 will be treated to a special on-screen moment: a fun cameo of the app reimagined as “Snapcat.” In a moment that underscores the theme of connection and humor, fans will see the endearing Clawhauser taking a selfie with an AR Lens during a Gazelle concert. This in-film integration showcases how a “Snap” is more than a message—it’s a spontaneous, personal, and real way to communicate, even in the heart of Zootopia.
Connecting with Friends and Fans: Fans in the U.S. will also receive a special Sponsored Snap directly in their Chat inboxes, featuring the film’s characters engaging with the app. This feature, combined with the new AR Lenses, reinforces Snapchat’s role in deepening connections between friends and family, allowing them to share moments of humor and heart just like the film itself.
