The globally popular kids’ animated series, “Spookiz,” is officially back with a brand-new season on YouTube after nearly five years! The new adventure, titled “Spookiz – Monsters Awakening,” kicked off with a prologue on October 17th, followed by the first episode on October 31st.
The characters, Cula the Dracula, Frankie the Frankenstein, Kebi the Goblin, Kongkong the Chinese Ghost, and Zizi the Zombie, are leaving their familiar school setting and embarking on a new journey in Japan, with fresh hijinks and new characters inspired by Japanese monster lore.
“Spookiz” is a 3DCG animation with a global fanbase, boasting over 6.2 million subscribers and over 3.2 billion total views on the official YouTube channel. This non-verbal animation, which primarily consists of 1-3-minute episodes, has garnered immense popularity not only in the United States but also across Asia, Latin America, and Europe.
Until now, the “Spookiz” characters have spent their daily lives hiding from humans at an elementary school. However, the new season prologue revealed that the “Spookiz” are being targeted by a vengeful monster hunter, prompting them to embark on a journey to seek guidance from an ancient monster Tengu to awaken their powers and teach them what it truly means to be real monsters.
