2025 holiday Gingerbread Displays, which are masterfully brought to life by the talented bakery teams following months of hard work and artistry. They are a yuletide tradition not to be missed at the Walt Disney World Resorts. This year brings back fan favorites across the resorts, but there is one major change: due to ongoing refurbishment work, the iconic display at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be on hold.
Walt Disney World has officially announced, “Because of the refurbishments currently happening at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the iconic life-sized Gingerbread House will unfortunately not be returning this year at the lobby or elsewhere.”

Disney World Holiday Gingerbread Displays 2025: What to See
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. Celebrate the merriest season at Walt Disney World Resort, November 14 to December 31, 2025. This year, several stunning creations return to get you in the holiday spirit with a Disney touch:
EPCOT: Gingerbread Spaceship Earth
Returning for its second year, Gingerbread Spaceship Earth will be the star of the holidays at EPCOT, available in CommuniCore Hall (EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays runs November 28 through December 30, 2025).
Modeled after the iconic attraction, this impressive display is an 8-foot-tall gingerbread creation. It is constructed from almost a thousand handcrafted gingerbread triangles to mirror the iconic facade. The display even features dynamic lighting and music throughout the day.
- Ingredients Fun Facts: It is built with a massive amount of ingredients, including 240 pounds of honey dough, 100 eggs, 55 pounds of dark chocolate, and 100 pounds of royal icing.
- A Hidden Detail: Look closely to find 11 hidden Mickeys, one for each of the World Showcase countries.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge: Life-Size Baby Gingerbread Giraffe, Baby Zebra, and Flamingo
Back for its fifth year, the adorable Life-Size Baby Gingerbread Giraffe and Baby Zebra display will be trekking into the lobby of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (November 14 to December 31, 2025.).
This charming creation features Ginger, the baby giraffe – or rather a ginger-affe – along with Debra, the baby zebra. These life-sized displays stand nearly 7 feet tall and are brought to life by the Animal Kingdom Lodge bakery team with a combination of gingerbread, sugar dough, and modeling chocolate.
- Display Menu: The team has also whipped up tasty items for purchase, including the Gingeraffe Cookie and specialty cocktails.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort: The Holiday Carousel’s 25th Anniversary!
Disney’s Beach Club Resort celebrates a major milestone this year with the 25th Anniversary of its cherished tradition: the life-sized Holiday Carousel. Did we mention it actually spins?
While the new design for the carousel horses has not yet been announced, we do know that the resort is planning something special to commemorate the 25th anniversary.
Furthermore, guests will have an extra sweet experience this year, as the set up and artistry will be open to guests to watch, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at how the edible masterpiece comes to life.
Last year’s theme was the characters from “Mickey’s Christmas Carol,” and the 2025 theme is highly anticipated!
- Ingredients Fun Facts: The display is traditionally made with a massive amount of ingredients, including hundreds of pounds of honey, icing, eggs, and thousands of pieces of gingerbread.
- Display Menu: Some of the popular holiday treats typically available include the Linzer Cookie, Spiced Orange and Cranberry Bundt Cake, and Gingerbread Macarons.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: No Gingerbread Display for 2025
For the first time in many years, the iconic, life-sized Gingerbread House will not be on display at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for the 2025 holiday season.
The resort’s main lobby is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment, which includes the construction of a new resort lounge and other enhancements, making the traditional set-up of the display impossible this year.
Guests can still visit the beautifully decorated resort, but the absence of the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House will be a notable change to the holiday circuit this year.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn: Miniature BoardWalk Deli Gingerbread House
Just a short trip around Crescent Lake, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn will once again host a miniature gingerbread version of its iconic and fan-favorite spots. The BoardWalk Deli Gingerbread House (expected to start in mid-November) is beautifully created with details that look just like the seaside escape, but in a smaller, sweet form.
- Display Menu: Treats typically available include the Holiday Mickey and Minnie Sugar Cookie and Gingerbread Shingle.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort: The Castle Display
Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be getting an extra holiday (and sweet) touch with its Castle Display, which will be back for its 14th year (expected to start in early November 14th). This dazzling creation, inspired by the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights, can be found on the 4th floor of the resort.
The Contemporary Bakery team has been hard at work creating this display that stands over 17 feet tall and 25 feet wide.
- Ingredients Fun Facts: It’s made with over 600 pounds of sugar, over 1,000 pounds of flour, and more than 4,000 castle gingerbread bricks.
- A Hidden Detail: Don’t forget to search for the 14 hidden Mickeys (one more than last year!) and the one and only, 5-legged goat.
- Display Menu: Treats typically available for purchase include the Linzer Cookie, Caramel Apple Cake with Gingerbread Streusel, and the Frozen Hot Cocoa.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge: Festive Sweet Treats
For guests taking a trip to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, nestled in the lobby, you’ll find a delicious selection of sweet treats (expected to start in late November) like the Dark Chocolate Bar and the Molasses Crackle Cookie. While there is no full-scale gingerbread house display, the resort is a must-see for its towering Christmas tree and rustic holiday decor.
