Disney Jr. Assembles Avengers for ‘Marvel’s Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up!’ Special.
Disney Jr.’s hit shows are merging for a major crossover event. The first-ever “Marvel’s Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up!” special will feature characters from “Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends” and “Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends.”, plus a new theme song, “Team Up!” by Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump. Iron Man and the Avengers—including Hulk, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, and Captain America—will join Spidey to battle the villainous duo of Ultron and Green Goblin, who are attempting to seize control of all city machines.
The official theme song and key art for the special dropped today. The opening theme, “Team-Up!”, was written and performed by none other than Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy, who also serves as the songwriter/composer for “Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends.” The special premieres Thursday, Oct. 16, on Disney Jr. (8 a.m. EDT/PDT) and will hit Disney+ the following day. The theme song single, “Team-Up!”, from Walt Disney Records, will be released tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 3.
The cast features Mason Blomberg as Iron Man and Alkaio Thiele as Spidey. Tony Hale (as Ultron) and J. P. Karliak (as Green Goblin) lead the villains.
The special already has a brand extension with the newly released Hasbro Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up! action figure collection, available now exclusively on Amazon. This special marks a significant crossover for the Disney Jr. Marvel universe, blending two fan-favorite shows.
